Loring Pinot Noir 2010

Full blackberry fruit with cherry, plum and a hint of mission fig accented with woody spice notes of cedar, bay, clove and anise plus graphite minerality and citrus pith. Medium bodied offering forward fruit flavors, natural acidity and a satin mouthfeel with a slight tooth. Racy with restraint; an undisciplined hand might have turned out a showy, unrefined effort. But this is masterfully made — titillating without vulgarity. A very good wine. (Reviewed 11/18/12)
