Eberle Syrah Steinbeck Vineyard 2010

Opaque purple in the glass foretells a rich, unctuous wine with full-bodied blackberry and dark cherry fruit, and subtle seasonings of sage, cocoa and earth. Fruit forward and jammy with savory notes adding complexity, definition and dimension. Mistake not girth for sloth, else one shall be caught unaware; surprising, it is, the strength and structure and power at play in this beast. A good wine. (Reviewed 11/10/12)
