Williams Selyem Pinot Noir 2006

Deep, mature cherry wholly integrated with cedar, forest floor, leather and cardamom. Fragrant and multidimensional, providing earthy savory flavors that intertwine harmoniously with subtle fruit to yield a complex and exquisitely balanced quaff. Fruit and soil are perfectly married here, and they are inseparable. Medium bodied with a velvety, chamois-like texture offering a slight chew. A superb value at its release price — if one allows $9 and change per glass a value. And consider this next time that $8 glass of house Chardon-Grigio-Caber-Merlot-Pinot-Sara-Zin-mass-produced-whatever arrives at the hand of your waiter. An excellent wine. (Reviewed 10/19/12)
