Ponzi Pinot Noir ‘Tavola’ 2009

Raspberry and red cherry up front followed by earthy notes of sage, spice and cedar with an organic-soil undercurrent holding things together. Pleasantly simple, light to medium bodied, focused. There’s amusement here, flirting with interest — repartee with allure that will lift an eyebrow. A good wine. (Reviewed 9/2/12)
