Calera Pinot Noir ‘Thirty-Fifth Anniversary Vintage’ 2010

Cherry and rhubarb with blackberry notes and flavors of cedar, bay and baking spice plus a brief hint of camphor. Full bodied and fruit forward. Concentrated, opening up large on the palate with a substantive weight in the mouth. Slight, barely noticeable acidity. A five-vineyard blend from four Central Coast counties, mostly (44%) Laetitia Vineyard, San Luis Obispo County. This combo plays a lively tune, hits notes all the notes and doesn’t miss a beat. A very good wine and a great value. (Reviewed 4/17/12)
