Minassian Young ‘Cuvee de Paso’ 2009

Blackberry, plum and black currant with a touch of mature strawberry plus notes of cinnamon, cedar and chalk. Medium bodied, well integrated with savory earthy flavors, and slightly gamey. Simple at first glance, yet in time reveals depth and a thoughtful world view. 40% Mourvedre, 40% Counoise, 18% Syrah, 2% Grenache Blanc. A very good wine. (Reviewed 6/15/12)
