Brotte Chateau de Bord Croix de Fregere 2009

COTES DU RHONE-VILLAGES LAUDUN | FRANCE | $14

Medium-bodied blackberry and black cherry fruit with notes of roasted chicory, redwood and faint chai spices. Multi-dimensional flavors abound, revealing a pleasing fruit-to-savory journey. Satin mouth feel, present but subdued acidity and slightly tannic. There’s a fine hand-hewn quality here — as an exceptional carved piece of furniture. 60% Grenache, 40% Syrah. A very good wine.
