PASO ROBLES | CALIFORNIA | $24
Mostly blackberry fruit with hints dark cherry and purple plum supported by notes of cedar, nutmeg and chalky soil. Medium to full bodied, focused and balanced, slightly rustic, delivering a perk of fresh-fruit acidity on the finish. A little quirky, but that’s the joy of it. A good wine that stands out from the crowd. (Reviewed 4/6/12)
