Croad ‘Aroha’ 2008

PASO ROBLES | CALIFORNIA | $32

Fruit-forward with black cherry, dark berries and purple plum, plus notes of woody spices, bay, caramel and chalk adding interest. Full bodied with a satin mouth. But the story here is fruit — there’s plenty of it, and it is beautiful, rich and both glossy and textured — with savory flavors playing a supporting role. Add age, and this balance should shift some. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Syrah. A very good wine. (Reviewed 4/21/12)

I could not agree with you more! The Croad Aroha is not only a fabulous blend today but will be as good or better in 3 years! My visit to Croad was amazing in that their facility is beautiful Spanish architecture as they make great tasting wines!
