Kenneth Volk Pinot Noir Santa Maria Cuvee 2007

A fruit-forward Pinot with cherry and blackberry fruit. Elements of tobacco, charcoal and earthy minerals. Medium bodied, somewhat rustic in structure and unevenly balanced. This is player who is in a little over his head, but he puts in a solid effort — and you can’t help but like him for it. A reasonably good wine and a good value. (Reviewed 3/12/11)
