Orin Swift ‘Abstract’ 2009

Young and robust. Blackberry and loganberry forward fruit with hints of cherry and plum. Rough, smoky cedar, dried mushroom and organic soil structure with spice back-notes. A Grenache, Petite Sirah and Syrah blend. This adolescent knows she has it made — attractive, athletic, intelligent, personable…and with maturity will come some welcomed humility to make her tolerable. A very good wine now, probably excellent with a couple years of bottle age. (Reviewed 1/3/11)
