Terry Hoague 5 Blocks 2006

Concentrated blackberry fruit dominates early, then yields to red plum with a hint of cedar and spice. A light, silky mouth feel belies the intensity behind this hot-climate wine. Balanced, with high 15.5% alcohol offset by massive fruit. 57% Syrah, 29% Grenache, 7% Mourevedre, 7% Cinsault. A very good wine. (reviewed 10/9/10)
