Minassian Young Zinfandel Will’s Hills 2009

PASO ROBLES | CALIFORNIA | $24

Concentrated black cherry, pomegranate and currant with sweet calcium, licorice, allspice, pepper and a touch of spearmint. Full bodied and complex with stacked, beautifully compacted flavors. It’s the seven-layer lasagna of wine; so dense with flavor, its 15.7% alcohol goes unnoticed…at least until after the second glass. A very good wine. (Reviewed 2/16/12)
