Melville Pinot Noir Clone 115 ‘Indigene’ 2004

SANTA RITA HILLS | CALIFORNIA | $42

Mature, nearly overripe, strawberry, black cherry and currant seamlessly integrated with soft, earthy cedar, graphite and clay with hints of bay and camphor. Light bodied and balanced with muted acidity and a velvety texture. A harmonious concerto — the parts inseparable from the whole — not unlike, say, Bach. An excellent wine. (Reviewed 10/17/11)
