Turnbull Cabernet Sauvignon Estate 2004

A big cab, fruit forward and bold. Deep blackberry fruit with red plum and currant. Complex notes of rounded oak, cocoa, cola, woody spices and graphite. Supple fleshy tannin structure sweeping into a softly acidic, bright finish. Something of a frat boy, this — loud, brash but eventually complex and thoughtful. An excellent wine. (Reviewed 9/15/11)
