Hop Kiln Pinot Noir 2008

Medium-bodied cherry and strawberry fruit with hints of kiwi and plum. Woody spice notes and wet-stone minerality ride a velvety smooth texture. Finishes with bright, controlled acidity. This outstanding citizen plays by all the rules and looks to have it all — almost too good to be true. An excellent wine in the distinctive Russian River Valley style. (Reviewed 1/22/11)
