L’Aventure ‘Estate Cuvée’ 2003

PASO ROBLES | CALIFORNIA | $85

Concentrated blackberry and prune with organic soil and notes of dry leaves, cocoa and almonds. Big 15.6% alcohol is expertly balanced by stunning fresh, forward fruit and a firm tannin structure. Well integrated, complex and bold, this wine demands and holds your attention. Yet there is subtlety. This virtuoso tenor has range — he can scat. 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Syrah, 6% Petit Verdot. An excellent wine. (Reviewed 1/14/12)

As a long-time wine lover, I’m happy to have found your site. Really enjoy your writing – interesting, colorful descriptions. Also, I had this 2003 Estate Cuvée about a year ago and your assessment is spot on. Cheers!
