Walter Hansel Pinot Noir The North Slope Vineyard 2007

Forward rhubarb and sour cherry with bright fresh-fruit acidity and low notes of dry cedar, mustard seed and sage. Aromas of dried fruit, tar and dust with a faint hint of barnyard. Light-medium bodied with a silky mouth feel. Not a bad package, but this one seems to be trying hard to wear today’s fashion and missed. A good wine. (Reviewed 1/8/12)
