Soft purple plum and blackberry with prune and fig back-notes married with woody spices and black pepper. Satin texture, a light mouth feel, sweet chalky minerality on the finish. Disarmingly open and accessible, yet extraordinarily thoughtful and complex. Perhaps not unlike the quite Beatle. Low 13.5% alcohol. A Bordeaux-California blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot. A very good wine. (Reviewed 10/8/11)
